Isaiah 40:6-8…”All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures for ever.” Our lives here are temporary. It does us great spiritual benefit to remember that, reflect upon it, and consider regularly why we would want to go to heaven. The purpose of this life is glorify God through loving Him and submitting to His Son, who died on the cross for our sins. Holiness will abound in heaven, which is much different from our experience here. The barriers to worship, which in this life mainly consist of our not seeing Him, as well as our sinful nature, will be gone. We will see Him, and His ways and attributes will be visible, and glorious.
