Colossians 2:8

Colossians 2:8…”See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” There is a philosophy which rightly exercises our God-given faculties. This would be a study of the works of God, which leads us to the knowledge of God, and confirms our faith in him. However, there is a philosophy which is vain and deceitful, and while it seems pleasing, it actually hinders our faith. Such are curious speculations about certain things above us which cannot be known. The human mind is limited, but God is the Father of knowledge, and is omniscient.
