Job 35:14…”How much less, then, will he listen when you say that you do not see him, that your case is before him and you must wait for him.” In prosperity we think our mountain will never be brought low. Likewise, in adversity, we think our valley will never be filled up. However, to conclude that tomorrow must be as this day, is as absurd as to think that the weather will be the same tomorrow as it is today. We should be laying up our treasures in heaven, and carefully denying worldliness. We need to be reminded of this even though this life is sure to end. The Lord is constant, and we will stand before Him one day. Therefore, we need to maintain an eternal perspective, seeking to grow in our love for Him in Christ, and setting our minds on things above, not on earthly things (Colossians 3:2).
